Aneissa Rosas-Sanchez
Aneissa Rosas-Sanchez is a Xicana/Mexican American therapist (she/her/ella) who’s known people come from Sonora and Zacatecas, Mexico, the modern day Southwest, and Yaqui Nation (Yoeme) descendants. She centers social justice and the decolonization of psychotherapy in her work and strongly believes in mutual aid and self-and-communal care as a means of healing and liberation for all. She has over 20 years of post-graduate clinical experience including working with racial trauma . She has more recently received training with Resmaa Menakem in Somatic Abolitionism for Therapists and Coaches in 2021 & 2022 and continues a regular personal and communal practice towards the co-creation of a living, embodied antiracist culture. The devotion to individual and collective heart reclamation (heart-back/land-back) emerged from this training as well as a commitment to these practices and “reps” individually and with other Bodies of Culture.
