Fabiola Navarrete Hernandez is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at the Child Therapy Institute in San Pablo. She received her MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies. Fabiola was raised in Marin and the East San Francisco Bay Area. She identifies as Latina, Salvadoran-American, and a first generation college graduate. Most of her work experience has been providing services to children, youth, and families from immigrant communities in school-based and community-based non-profit settings. She is a visual artist that also integrates play, movement, drama, storytelling, and mindfulness into her therapeutic practice. Fabiola believes in the power of play and expressive arts as transformative tools to move toward healing and agency. She is grateful and excited to be part of the CTIM team supporting children, teens, and their families.
