Yoshiko Hedges, MFT

Yoshiko Hedges is a MFT intern with a Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy. She has over 15 years of experience working with children and teens as a teacher, mentor, tutor, camp counselor and wilderness therapy field instructor. She recently founded a summer camp which empowers young girls to develop their creative expression and trust in themselves through nature connection, mindfulness, survival skills and the arts. She is passionate about investing in the social, emotional, behavioral and academic development of young people, and believes in each individual’s capacity to grow and learn. Caring for the well-being of children ripples out to positively affect families, communities and world. A rising tide lifts all ships.

Yoshi is pleased to be joining the Child Therapy Institute to offer school based and sliding scale therapy in El Cerrito. If you are curious to learn more and want to see if this would be a good fit for you and your family, please call. She would be happy to answer questions and address any concerns.
